Business Development Specialist

This role is vital in the growth and development of our business. The Business Development Specialist focuses on defining the strategy to sell Q Carriers’ services to their assigned existing customers and works diligently to grow our business with customers for whom we can be a transportation solutions provider.

Summary Description:

On our growing inside sales team, you will play a pivotal role in the development of new business. You will focus on working with leadership to define the strategy to sell Q Carriers’ services to potential customers and establish a growing book of business. Job Summary:

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Successfully positions Q Carriers to acquire new business through aggressive lead generation and outbound calling

· Identifies and develops new customer relationships and offers solution-based sales which utilize the Q Carriers portfolio of services

· Develops a thorough knowledge of the market to competitively sell our services

· Represents the Q Carriers’ brand through transparent and professional communication via the phone and email

· Builds relationships and collaborate internally

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven knowledge of transportation sales cycles and strategies
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite/365 or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s internal data management systems, and provider websites

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • 2+ years experience in Transportation Logistics Sales, Account Management or related required
