Logistics Coordinator

What will you be doing?

As a first level Carrier Operations Representative, you will focus on the carrier service aspect of the business and source transportation solutions for our customers' shipments. Customers consist of companies that have freight to move, and we provide the transportation solutions with our carrier partners. Our current customers range in industry, a sampling of which includes, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, construction, durable goods, retail etc. You will use our transportation management software, McLeod and your growing industry knowledge, to source carriers, quote rates, and offer solutions to successfully bring customer shipments to delivery. With our extensive training, you will quickly become comfortable with the technology used, the transportation industry, and how to negotiate, and execute customer transportation solutions. 

Main Responsibilities: 

• Build strong customer relationships by providing the highest quality of service 
• Ensure shipment details are accurately entered into the transportation management software 
• Communicate with carriers to successfully accomplish the pickup and delivery appointments.
• Proactively identify issues and resolve problems to uphold our commitment to service 
• Prioritize and respond to internal and external requests in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate cross-functionally with carrier sales, account management, customer operations representatives, and carrier operations representatives

Requirements

•  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal 
• Self-motivated individual with proven issue resolution skills
